Volunteer
Chinook Fest has grown a lot in 10+ years and one thing is certain - we couldn’t do it without all of our dedicated volunteers! If you, or someone you know, would like to spend a few hours each day volunteering in order to be able to enjoy the festival for free - we want to hear from you!
Volunteers must be 21+, physically able to conduct the duties for which you're scheduled, be available for the times outlined below for the volunteer team you apply for AND love live music, smiling faces, unique experiences and beautiful settings.
Festival volunteers will receive weekend access to the festival + general tent camping + an exclusively designed volunteer T-shirt and other fun swag.

Volunteer Teams & Duties
Weekend Volunteers
Various duties Friday through Sunday
Must be able to attend Safety & Info meeting Friday morning.
Plan to be scheduled for three 4-hour shifts throughout festival weekend.
Team Floater

Maintaining general cleanliness of the festival grounds

Provide support for areas that are busy and could use an extra pair of hands

Be available to fill-in on various shift duties for volunteer “no-shows”
Parking/Camping Attendant

Directing traffic for camping drop-off and parking

Helping campers load/unload supplies

Making sure the parking spaces are utilized to the best of our abilities for the best flow

Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
Box Office

Greet and scan all ticket holders, sponsor partners, vendors

Direct musicians to band check-in

Give appropriate wristbands to festival-goers and vendors

Comfortable in fast-paced, high pressure environment
Festival & Band Merchandise

Sell Chinook Fest & Band merchandise

Organize festival retail space and maintain appropriate size + variety of options

Must be able to bend, shift, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Point of Sale system knowledge a plus, but not required
Set-Up Volunteers
Various duties begin Wednesday
Must be able to attend Safety & Info meeting Wednesday morning.
Plan to be scheduled for approximately 10-14 hours between Wednesday and Thursday.

Duties will include, but are not limited to general set-up tasks like hanging signage and lighting, installing fencing, deploying supplies and materials, etc.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs

Knowledge of power tools is a plus, but not required
Pre-Party Volunteers
Various duties Thursday and Friday
Must be able to attend Safety & Info meeting Thursday morning.
Plan to be scheduled for approximately 12 hours between Thursday and Friday

Duties include being part of the general festival welcome wagon and supporting festival goers in parking and tent camping, box office and merchandise.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs
Teardown & Clean Up Volunteers
Various duties begin Sunday
Must be able to attend Safety & Info meeting on Friday morning.
Plan to be scheduled approximately 6 hours, beginning at 12PM and ending before dark on Sunday.

Duties include but are not limited to removal of signage, lighting, fencing, tent camping load-out support, packing/storing festival supplies.

Must provide additional information and agree to be charged for the price of a weekend pass, in the event you do not show up for your teardown shift.
