Honoring Chuck Johnson on Veterans Day

On this Veterans Day we would like to honor a core member of our Chinook Fest Family who served our country for 22 years.  Chuck Johnson is family to us, and like all of the other veterans that are a part of our CF Family, we are incredibly grateful for his service. Today we’d like to share an overview of Chuck’s 22 years in the United States Army:

Chuck joined the Army right out of high school as an Infantryman and graduated the infantry basic training at Ft. Benning, GA. During Chuck’s 22 years of service, he has been stationed all over the world and served in just about every position an infantryman could possibly serve (rifleman, team leader, squad leader, section sergeant, bradley commander, platoon sergeant, operations officer, etc…). Chuck has deployed to Bosnia, and served two tours in the Middle East (Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom). We’ve been told that Chuck’s favorite assignment was as a platoon sergeant while stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. Chuck field tested, developed doctrine and helped integrate the M2A3 Bradley fighting vehicle. Chuck has earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Air Assault Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and more…

Thank you Chuck, and all the other veterans that are a part of our family. We sincerely appreciate all you’ve done for this country.
